Students will interpret a text by combining clauses to make connections to join ideas, using CLARIFY phrases (e.g., more specifically it is ___ because ___,etc.) by explaining their ideas to a partner and writing notes.
Students will interpret a text by combining clauses to make connections to join ideas, using CLARIFY phrases (e.g., more specifically it is ___ because ___,etc.) by explaining their ideas to a partner and writing notes.
To build on the constructive conversation skill CLARIFY. Students will use Conversation Analysis Tool CAT to rate the non- model text (Dimension 1, 2). Teacher will tally student's responses, and share out.

The lesson went pretty well. Again, I had to create a power point to go a long this lesson. Students were engaged when we shared out their rating and they justified their answers. I had to create a visual for the tally which showed what the majority of student's rating.
